One stop shop for original art, print and designer toys - The Richard Goodall Gallery in the Northern Quarter. One of my favourite haunts at University in Manchester. I particularly love the rock band art - Jason Munn's The Small Stakes is worth a look.

Finally, a Jimmie Martin showroom right around the corner. Ever since I spotted their Flamingo chairs I have been smitten!

Jaime Hayon for Lladro.

Lladro porcelain is normally a bit sickly sweet for me but Jaime Hayon's collection has hit the spot. Always whimsical, never dull but for 1600 quid a pop I'll have to admire from afar.

Elevated Heights.

Itay Ohaly's art piece, 'Elavated bench', has sent me on a romantic daydream. And just in time for Valentines Day too. As I'm sure most people have attempted to climb a lamp post on a night out, these handy staircases make the journey up a whole lot easier - and with a seat made for two!

Hotting up.

Probably a bit late, but back in September at 100% Design I was blown away by the Aestus radiators on show. Here are my favourites.

Morning Glory.

One of my resolutions once I've turned 26 is to start getting up and having a proper breakfast in the morning. This Rise and Shine print from Keep Calm Gallery goes perfectly with bacon and eggs - or muesli on a good day.

Hansgrohe will always be my favourite brassware company - you just can't go wrong. They are constantly adding to and changing their ranges and their photography is to die for. My pick is the Citterio range. I dare for anyone to say bathrooms are boring when they look this good.

One week until my birthday and I'm hoping for a beautifully glossy black Roberts Radio from my other half. If I could afford it I would have one in every colour for every room in the house!

Must-go hotels

My planned trip to Rome next weekend has reignited the travel bug in me. The Guardian's list of design hotels has single handedly persuaded me to visit Stockholm.
